Fun day! (7/21)

Today was another incredible day! It’s hard to put into words the feelings that we all are experiencing right now. We started with morning prayer around the fire, followed by a funeral mass for a local man from Lukulu to show our respects. After, we played with the children, then had an intense game of basketball with the older kids. When we finished our game, we went on a road trip to see St. Peter Catholic Church in Kalambwe, Lukulu that a previous group had worked on. This church is an outpost of the one we are staying at. Our project this year was to do roofing, but unfortunately it’s too wet, so we will be doing a painting project instead. We already feel like we have known the people of Lukulu for years, and it’s only been 2 days. Thank you for all of your continued support and prayers!
